1. A Collagen Supplement Improves Skin Hydration, Elasticity, Roughness, and Density: Results of a Randomized, Placebo-Controlled, Blind Study



Conducted in Germany at the university of Münster and the Institute for Biometrics and Clinical Research.


The trial was conducted on 72 healthy women aged 35 years or older. A skin assessment was carried out and based on skin hydration, elasticity, skin roughness and skin density. The trial took place over a 4 week period. The results showed significantly improved skin hydration, elasticity, roughness and density after twelve weeks of intake. Skin hydration was significantly increased, by 28.0% in the test group. These positive effects were substantially retained during the follow-up. After four weeks without further taking Collagen it was noted that the, skin hydration was still significantly increased in comparison to the initial state.

2.  Role of collagen hydrolysate in bone and joint disease



Conducted in October 2000 by R.W.Moskawitz, at the Case Western Reserve University, Division of Rheumatic Diseases, University Hospitals of Cleveland, OH, USA.


Clinical studies advocate that the ingestion of 10 g Hyrdolysed Collagen daily reduces pain in patients with osteoarthritis of the knee or hip. 

In a controlled trial performed in clinics in the United States, United Kingdom, and Germany, it was noted that there was a preferential uptake by cartilage. Suggesting that Hydrolysed Collagen may have a salutary effect on cartilage metabolism. 

Given the important role for collagen in bone structure, the effect of Hydrolysed Collagen on bone metabolism in osteoporotic persons was also evaluated. 

In conclusion, Hydrolysed Collagen is of interest in the treatment of Osteoarthritis and Osteoporosis.


3.  24-Week study on the use of Hydrolysed Collagen as a dietary supplement in athletes with activity-related joint pain



Conducted by the Department of Nutrition & Sports Nutrition for Athletics, Penn State University, USA.


The trial was started in September, 2005, and conducted on 174 subjects at the Penn State University Park. Patients with joint pain, mobility and inflammation were evaluated over a 24 week period.

The results showed improvement in joint pain in athletes who were treated with the dietary supplement Hydrolysed Collagen. Hydrolysed Collagen was confirmed to support joint health and possibly reduce the risk of joint deterioration in a high-risk group. 


4. Beneficial Effects of Hydrolysed Collagen



Conducted by Hongdong Song in July 2017 from the University of Shanghai of Science and Technology & Bo Li from the China Agricultural University


This study confirmed that by taking Hydrolysed Collagen that there was an antioxidant effect. There were reported enhancements in the wound healing abilities in the skin. The inflammatory responses in the body were reduced due to presence of Glycine found in Collagen (Glycine being one of the major structural units found in collagen and accounting for 1/3 of the amino acids)

​5. Dietary Supplementation with Specific Collagen Peptides Has a Body Mass Index-Dependent Beneficial Effect on Cellulite Morphology

6. The oral intake of specific Bioactive Collagen Peptides has a positive effect on hair thickness (VERISOL™ CASE STUDY)


The oral administration of specific BCP led to a statistically significant increase in hair thickness.

7. Reduced Wrinkles (VERISOL™ CASE STUDY)


The oral administration of VERISOL™ significantly reduces wrinkles after 4 weeks and leads to a significantly hight skin procollagen concentration.



8. Significant decrease of cellulite score (VERISOL™ CASE STUDY)


Results were gathered after a 6month supplementation period. The results were visible after a 3 month period and reduced the waviness of the skins appearance .
